What You’ll Do:
Build Relationships & Grow Your Portfolio
- Build and grow a portfolio of member relationships through proactive outreach, networking, and referrals
- Conduct financial needs assessments and risk profiling for current and prospective members
- Maintain regular contact through portfolio reviews and ongoing relationship management
- Lead meaningful conversations around financial goals, timelines, and long-term priorities
Provide Investment Advice
- Deliver investment recommendations primarily focused on mutual funds
- Introduce foundational financial planning concepts such as risk tolerance, time horizon, and portfolio alignment
- Identify opportunities to expand conversations into retirement planning, protection needs, and long-term strategies
- Collaborate with senior advisors or specialists on more complex planning needs
Drive Business Development
- Actively pursue new opportunities through referrals, follow-ups, and community engagement
- Represent HMECU at community and employer group events
- Identify opportunities to connect members with additional HMECU products and services
Collaborate & Develop
- Partner with branch staff to deliver a seamless and consistent member experience
- Participate in ongoing training and development to expand product knowledge and advisory capability
- Work toward additional licensing (including insurance) to grow your ability to serve members
What Success Looks Like:
- Comfortable building relationships through proactive outreach and networking
- Motivated to grow a portfolio and generate new business
- Able to translate financial concepts into clear, meaningful advice
- Self-driven, curious, and committed to continuous learning and development
- Resilient and adaptable in a performance-based environment
What You Bring:
- 1–3 years of experience in financial services, sales, or a client-facing role
- Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Mutual Fund accreditation and licensing (required)
- Interest in pursuing additional licensing (including insurance)
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a book of business
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Prior banking or credit union experience considered an asset
- Must be bondable

Primary Location: Limeridge Branch
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Pension: 7% Employer Contribution to our Defined Contribution Pension Plan
Compensation: Band 1 - $44,900.00 - $67,400.00
Other Compensation: Additional earning potential through revenue-based compensation.
